Werribee is my home, and there is something really special about the place we live in.
I’m proud of our community and the strong sense of connection that defines it.
The Wadawurrung and Bunurong Peoples have lived here for tens of thousands of years, and the wirribi yalluk (Werribee River) runs like a spine through the plains we live on. This is how the town and the electorate got its name. We pay our respects to the elders of our First Nations both past and present and commit to caring for the land we call home.
We speak over 98 different languages, but share a love for the place we’ve come to call home. We are a younger community, with many families choosing to build their lives here. This is why I am so passionate about having the best schools and health services, and the Labor Government will continue to focus on local jobs so people can work near or from home.
The electorate takes in the communities of Werribee, Wyndham Vale, Mambourin, Manor Lakes, Cocoroc, Quandong and Little River.
